The GUMDESIGN received numerous awards including the Best Communicator Award 2014, the First Prize in the international competition of creativity “in Swiss in Cheese”, the first prize in the architectural competition for Marinella di Selinunte, the first prize in the national competition “Poster for the Carnival Tower del Lago Puccini”, the 2nd Prize (2012) and four special mentions in the international competition” Young & Design “, the second prize in the competition by invitation” Dignity Design “; They are among the designers selected for the exhibitions “Prime Cup” and “New Italian Design” curated by the director Silvana Annicchiarico for the Triennale of Milan and the exhibition “Theater of Italian Creativity” in New York curated by Vanni Pasca. Alessandro Mendini selects for the Triennale Design Museum in Milan the tasting glass Swing; Dyade Ltd invites Gumdesign to represent Italian design for I.D.E.A. in London during the London Design Festival and the Museum Magma welcomes in the permanent some products designed by the studio; they are selected by the Milan Triennale for a major exhibition at the Museum Santral in Istanbul and Vittorio Sgarbi chooses them for the Italian Pavilion (Venice Biennale) at the Museo Pecci of Prato. MoMA in San Francisco selects Swing and Emotional Goblets for a major exhibition and for the museum’s permanent. The Glass Museum of Shanghai selects Goblets Character for the museum’s permanent.

Since 2008, they follow the creative direction of Cambiovaso for the company Upgroup that involved so far 30 international designers and has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2009; BAU9 has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2011 and Mastro has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2012 for the Golden Compass.

They are art directors and members of the editorial board of Bau, container of contemporary culture.
